Salary / Rate: £18000 - 20000 Annum

Start Date: ASAP

The main aim of the role is to develop and win new business and be responsible for managing assigned key accounts, by maintaining a high level of customer service and serving as the interface between the customer and all relevant business units.

 

Duties:

  • Enjoy working in a team and talking to other people – this sales job is a role with pressure but is also fun and rewarding.
  • Speak to customers on a regular basis to generate enquiries.
  • Produce, using Microsoft Excel programs, accurate quotations for various products, to various customers by phone, fax and e-mail.
  • Chase quotations for the purpose of feedback, negotiation and ultimately to win orders.
  • Process orders and issue paperwork to drawing office.
  • Liaise at all times with other departments to ensure good customer service and keep promises.
  • Maintain customer contact in order to better supplier-customer relations to win repeat business.
  • Continually look to expand customer base in any way possible.
  • Keep up-to-date with latest specifications, products and designs to help service the customer.
  • Offer the best customer service at all times.
  • Deal with customer enquiries & complaints in a timely fashion.
  • Be well organised, conscientious and enthusiastic.

Skills / Experience required:

  • Customer focussed
  • Positive track record of sales and key account management
  • People management and long term relationship development and influencing skills
  • Business acumen, negotiation and closing skills
  • Performance and target driven
  • Numerate
  • Commercially/legally aware.
  • Good understanding of Health and Safety legislation.
  • Sound IT skills(particularly Excel word and PowerPoint)
  • Ability to efficiently organise work load.
  • Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team

A full driving licence is essential for this role as attending the occassional client meeting is required.

Hours of work Monday to Thursday – 8:30am to 5pm, Friday – 8:30am to 4pm.

Holiday entitlement – 25 days plus 8 bank holidays
